60 minute makeover and Jump for Fun.

The 60 minute makeover team were in Colchester to surprise single mother Samantha when they set about transforming her house, the makeover team also wanted to do some work in the garden and Jump for Fun were asked to help transform her old trampoline and make it look brand new. Samantha reacted with “Is that my trampoline?”.

Task: Enhance the trampoline to look brand new.

BossaBall

Bossaball is a ball game between 2 teams. It’s a mix of volleyball, football, gymnastics and capoeira. The court is a combination of inflatables and trampolines, divided by a net.

We posted in September on our Facebook about The House of Air opening their indoor trampoline park and were very impressed with the concept, but Bossaball, now that looks just as much fun. When will we see events being held on UK beaches in 2011?

Winter Trampoline Advice.

Taking down the netting and packing up the padding.

Safety Netting, if the UK get very high winds again your tie-down kit may need some help. The finely woven thread of the safety netting can act as a sail, high wind could result in the net poles being bent out of shape. In extreme circumstances trampolines can be blown around the garden into trees. Whilst the trampoline is designed for the UK, nature can throw up many surprises.

We fully recommend removing the safety netting through the winter months and storing it.

Trampoline padding, if you have a PVC spring padding on your trampoline, extreme changes in the winter temperature can result in the material becoming brittle, this could cause the padding to fall apart.

When your trampoline is not in use during the winter months we would suggest you take your pad off the trampoline and store it somewhere warm and dry. The trampoline padding supplied by Jump for Fun is a high grade polyester material but storing for the winter is always recommended.

Assembling your trampoline is usually down to you following the step by step guide supplied as part of your instruction manual, whilst these are straight forward and easy to follow we are still asked the questions of “How many people does it take to build it?” and “How long will it take?”.

In Order to give you a better idea of how to assemble your trampoline, Jump for Fun have made some videos for you to watch and gauge the time process involved in each stage of the assembly process.

OctaJump Junior Trampolines.

Due to the success of the OctaJump Deluxe and Popular, we have now followed this up by introducing a price very price conscious Junior series. The Junior is only currently available in 8ft and 10ft sizes and we will look to add more to the Junior range soon.

Whilst the price is greatly reduced from the other two OctaJump ranges, the quality is still up to the high standard of Jump for Fun. The OctaJump Junior range are ideal for younger/lighter Octa Jumpers but it is still ideal for most children.

Don’t Drink and Bounce!

Children are being injured on trampolines because too many people, including drunk adults, are crowding onto them, doctors have warned. In a recent study conducted by medics at Ninewells hospital in Dundee analysed 50 injuries to go through their A&E doors.

“We note that children have been hurt while being supervised or bouncing with adults who have been drinking at a summer garden party, for example. said Dr Andrew Bogacz. The greatest risk was posed by more than one person bouncing on the trampoline at the same time contrary to guidelines, with 80 per cent of injuries caused in this way.

Almost half of injuries happened when there was a lack of adult supervision and in two-thirds of cases there was no safety net set up. Dr Bogacz said: “Adult supervision is crucial in preventing trampoline injuries.The most influential role of a supervising adult is to ensure safety guidelines are followed, exuberance is controlled, and help is provided with setting up and dismounting from the trampoline.”

Absolutely correct Dr Bogacz, we can’t re-iterate enough that the standard practice of using a garden trampoline should be 1 supervised user at a time. Adults, please remember your job, oh and that beer, wine and trampolines do not mix. Please refer to our Jump Safe Play Safe advice on the website. Trampolining is great fun if you stick to the guide. We don’t want to see an increase in incidents this summer, especially when they can be avoided.

Your Choice of Delivery Date.

At Jump for Fun we try to make delivering your product as easy as possible, did you know that a standard delivery is 3-5 working days for a trampoline.

When you order with us we want to give you more flexible options as taking delivery of a trampoline is not like normal post. We offer 3 options, and if your on the UK Mainland, they are all FREE.

Standard delivery is on a 3-5 day option Next Day Delivery is also available OR When you are filing in your details there is an option for adding notes, informing us of difficulties a driver may encounter when trying to get to you etc. In this notes area you can also specify a day for delivery, just tell us what day of the week you want it and we will dispatch it the day before.

The advantage of this is that you know you can take time off when it is more convenient for you. This service is available any day of a working week, ie: Order it on a Saturday and choose a next Thursday delivery, this is also ideal if you want to order early for a birthday in a couple of weeks, we will hold your product for you, removing any issues of trying to hide such a big gift until the day.

Please note though, if you want to use this service, we can only deliver through the week, this option is not available for delivery over a weekend. So, why not have a look at our range of outdoor garden trampolines and order today.

Jump for Fun are proud to of been chosen by Sky to help them create a new world record attempt, the 100m Dash on Trampolines. February saw Steve Jones and Konnie Huq join us at Jump for Fun HQ to attempt to dash across x28 13ft Octa Jump Deluxe Trampolines.

After a full days shooting, we finally got our winner after three attempts each. You can watch the Record Breaking Trampoline attempt on our website.
