Advice
on Sinking your trampoline:
We
do have people phone us and ask about sinking their
trampoline into the ground, this is becoming more
frequent now so we have put together some practical
advice.
Most
people are probably put off by the athestics of
a net but buy them because of the safety factor.
Other people may not be able to go the extra of
affording a net.
Digging
a pit is a very good option, digging the pit yourself
will also save on cost.
The
advantages are it is safer than not having a net
and you do not have the trampoline with or without
the net in your eye line. You could even plant
shrubs/flower border in front of it and hide it
completely, making a garden feature out of a potential
eye sore.
The
hole needs to be approx two inches less than the
height of the trampoline. This allows a gap to
release the trapped air that is pushed downwards
whilst
jumping.
If
you live in a wet area and are unsure of the soil
being firm enough we
recommend seeking advice from a friendly builder/gardner.
If you have a high water table you may want to
dig a trench across the diameter of the trampoline,
say 1ft x 1ft and fill with pea shingle or the
like.
