Jump for Fun have been supplying
trampolines to the UK, Europe and as far a field
as New Zealand for well over 5 years. Jump for
Fun is actually a brand owned by IIP Ltd who have
been in business in other retail markets for over
14 years.
When it came to offering trampolines
to new retail customers, we knew we would have
to make sure the product was manufactured to a
very high standard with excellent specification,
yet not cost our customers a high price. When Jump
for Fun started, the average price for a 10ft trampoline
in 2004 was in excess of £400.
At that time we were often asked why our trampolines were cheap? the
simple answer to that was, they are not, other suppliers are too expensive.
Since then many more people have started to sell trampolines, via ebay,
DIY stores and new brands have appeared.
We are now seen by some people as expensive. This is because some of
the older brands have reduced their prices, but it is mainly because
the new companies are selling products with lower specifications.
As part of our own product development we regularly monitor pricing,
quality and specifications of other products, we find this the best way
to cut through the hype and misinformation that unfortunately has crept
into this market, also to protect our trademarked brands because others
have used our name to sell their products.
One of the main reasons we sell at our own level, has been our infrastructure
and belief in quality with value pricing. We have 7000sq ft of warehouse
space were we dispatch direct, with further warehousing for stock, this
gives us the ability to purchase at a level from our suppliers ensuring
the high quality and specifications needed to satisfy our market, a buyer
who knows their mind, and the level of expectation they require.
